Schedule exercise in your calendar

One way to make fitness a priority is to write it down in your calendar and treat it like an important appointment that you can’t miss. In the next 24 hours, block out some time for your favorite exercise routine one day during the next week. Make a commitment to keep your appointment. Always consult a physician before starting any exercise routine.

I know what you mean, I find it hard to get enough Cardio in as well. However, I find bring a friend along to the gym is the absolutly the best motivator. But if you can’t bring a friend along music always helps me keep moving.

Our annual “GO Fit” challenge just started at Kashi. Scheduling my workouts will help my team’s progress. I don’t want to let them down.

hey everyone! I’m new here but i’ve been scheduling out my workouts onto my calendar everyday for the last 5 months and it works great. I’m currently doing an at home fitness workout from beachbody called P90X which is extreme and demanding but its made a big improvement on not only my physical fitness but my mental and spiritual as well, and its all because it gave me the tools to map out what i needed to do everyday so i wasn’t just grabbing the same dvd everyday and plateuing. i’ve also taken to planning out classes and times i can go to the gym after work or before or after class, I’ve got an ongoing thursday workout with a buddy which i go to whether or not she comes. keep up the work everyone!

I’ve been making it a goal to wake up early in the morning to do a 30 minute workout on my elliptical as a kick off for my fitness remake program for summer 2008. I’ve gotten off track so this will really help!

Hi everyone! This is my very first post and I’m happy to be a member of Kashi’s community. I’m currently working the P90X program through Beachbody.com and it is one extreme workout. I’d just like to say that EVERYONE should work in a little exervise everyday. I wake up each morning at 4:30 (yes, I said 4:30AM) and ride my spinning bike for just 10-20 minutes and do the workout after I get home from work. If you raise your metabolism first thing, you place your body in fat-burning mode and you get a natural high. I have lost ten pounds in seven weeks and feel terrific. Have a great day!

I do 30 min a day minimum. It’s not always intense, sometimes I spend 30 minutes in the yard gardening or just doing house work. I need to start bringing free weights back in to my routine though. I have all these great routines written down, but never seem to follow them. I am excited about this challenge because it will keep me accountable.

Doing this along with other challenges to get me back into shape…all I need is 30 minutes a day just for me…or maybe dragging a child or husband along ;)

I have been making fitness as an appointment I make every day but Sunday now for more than 3 years. I feel like a slug when I do not.
