Be thrifty

Thrift shops, vintage, consignment, or tag sales – whatever you call them, they’re recycling opportunities. Buying used clothing, appliances, and furniture not only saves you cash, it reduces demand for newly made products, controlling the cycle of waste. The next time you go shopping, consider whether a used item might be an option and challenge yourself to find a good store.

Just went to a consignment store yesterday and bought a few things for my kids. Like brand new and they don’t know any better. Plus no body else knows either! I constantly get complements on how cute my kids are dressed!!

I usually sell my old bridesmaid dresses or prom dresses to our local thrift store. Extra cash!

I recently purchased a few items at my local Value Village store.I was amazed at some of the neat things I found there.

Just be careful buying used appliances as an old appliance will probably be less energy efficient. It may cost you more in the long run!

This is one of my fav. things! I just bought a bunch of kids clothes at a consignment/tag sale for a local charity! The clothes look great…for very cheap prices!

Value Village is my number 1 used clothing store. Their prices are reasonable and when the have those 50% off days, the prices are even better. Occassionally you’ll even find articles of clothing that are brand new!

I try to shop at the local Value Village here where I live. The prices are really good and I get a lot of stuff for the money that I pay. My boys don’t even know the differnce sometimes!!! lol

I shop our recycle centers always, purchase my outdoor work clothes at the salvation army and am a regular garage sale freak, which is a great reduce& recycle avenue. And save some money !!

I just came back from Value Village. I picked up a shirt for $3.99. My big find…a Matt & Nat purse that I got for $4.99, I just looked up the bag on-line and it’s retail price is around $100!!

I’ve always been a big supporter of thrift shopping. My only complaint is that Value Village has so many neat things/unusual finds that I end up buying waay too much :D

I got my computer from a journey in thrift shopping two years ago! It was near new and only costed me 25 dollars! After that i became a religious thift shopper and have found so many wonderful things.
