This is an easy task. I drink at least 3 liters a day. I would like to drink more so this challenge is a great one

3 liters!! Wow! I have the PUR water filter with the new flavoring option; that helps and sometimes I put a tea bag into a bottled water. Also, I keep a larger glass of water sitting on my kitchen window sill to remind me to drink. Any ‘tricks’ you use?

One thing I like to do to make my water a little more “interesting” is adding Emergen-C. They make little packets you can mix with water for some added flavor, fizz and vitamins.

I think I am part camel. I really only drink one bottle of water a day. The only other fluids I have is a cup of tea in the morning. I will try to sneak in an extra half bottle of water at least today.

not sure if I can drink more! I already drink water constantly throughout the day. I actually love to drink water. It’s my drink of choice, well besides my coffee! hmm. Not a soda drinker and only have a small glass of juice in the morning. Guess this is a great one to start with!

During the second week of January 2007 I decided to get serious about losing weight. I just simply stopped drinking from 1 4 2-liter bottles of soda each week and tripled my water intake. I also stopped eating candy, donuts, etc. and reduced my overall food intake by 30%. I have lost a little over 20 pounds.

I add Crystal light packets to help flavor my water.

for the past few months, water has been all i’ve drank. not only is it healthier for you on the inside, but it’s healthier for you on the outside, as well. it’s been proven that drinking water regularly can give you healthier, shinier hair, as well as make your skin look healthier!

I used to get up every morning and have a Dr. Pepper. One day I got up and decided enough was enough. I was tired of waking up with headaches because I hadn’t had my caffeine. I decided to go caffeine free 3 years ago. I feel much better and I drink mostly water now. I have milk for breakfast and on occasion I have a caffeine free drink when I eat out. But once I got started on water…I couldn’t quit. There is nothing like the taste of water.

Water is soo good. I drink around 2 bottles a day which is about half of what we need. Try it ice cold it burns more calories!

I’ve read that water is essential for your body to burn fat, remove toxins, maintain proper brain function and hydrate your skin (among other organs). I accept this challenge to drink more water per day!

I like my water really, really cold. I’ve discovered some covers made by Granite Gear that keep my 1-liter Nalgene bottles icy all day! I fill the bottle with ice, then 1/3 of the way with water. Lay it on its side overnight in the freezer, and in the morning, finish filling it with water. Icy cold goodness all day long!

I have added a water bottle to my desk accessories. Now after finishing my a.m. cup of coffee I fill the large bottle and sip away during the day. It goes to meetings with me too.

I only drink water, and have recently purchased a 2.2. Liter (8 glasses) jug so I can be certain that I am drinking the right amount. I finish it during the work day, and drink more water at home. If I am craving some sugar, I grab an orange or any fruit. It’s all you really need!

I only drink water and hot tea, recently I started drinking diet iced green tea. I don’t like the high refined sugars in soda or juices. I also enjoy the little packets that a few mentioned previously.

I’ve never been a soda person, sometimes a juice person. Mostly I’ve always been a coffee, tea, and water junkie. I always feel like my body is happier with water… it moves more fluidly, and isn’t bogged down by the toxins in most of today’s popular drinks.

I don’t like water and find it very difficult to drink it. I would be happy to get some suggestions to help me to change this. I love Diet Coke!

Carolynn,

I scanned through some of the comments above and saw some great ways to make water more appealing. Here are some things to add to water to make it taste interesting:
1) Emergen-C
2) Lime
3) Lemon
4) Tea bags
5) Crystal Light

I’ve also tasted water at spas and cafes where they have added cucumbers, strawberries, and melons to the water for a delicious infusion.

With my crazy schedule I’m always forgeting about the most basic things—like drinking enough water. Because I work in the hotel/restaurant business, I have sodas and sugary juices available all the time, making me push water even further aside. BUT, yesterday I bought a case of water and decided to make use of the office fridge. From now on I can hit up the restaurant for a drink only 2 or 3 times a week. Time to rehydrate!

right now, im doing this 6 part meal diet… but i recently decided to start drinking a lot of water, close to 3 liters while im at the university… now, i feel that a lot of people in their busy schedules forget to pack their water… well let me tell you a little bit about packing your water… i usually pack my water in my backpack, before i go to sleep… because i always notice that if i dont do that, than i will inevitably forget… so i recommend you get your water up and running for school or work or whatever you all in this forum do, and just be ready for a full day of peeing out toxins from your body!

It is really hard for me to do this, I crave juices ALL the time. Not so much with sodas, but I love juice, so this will be a big challenge for me.

One thing I do to add to the water I drink is adding lipton to go packets, it’s a zero everything packet. It helps you not to get bored with drinking plain water all the time it adds a refreshing taste.
