Be a good steward of the earth

You live here. We live here. International Earth Day (on April 22) brings the world together and it feels good. This year, participants are working to combat climate change.

One way to affect change is to vote. That’s why organizers suggest that if you do one thing for Earth Day this year, you should vote for positive changes for the environment. If you’re not already, today challenge yourself to register to vote.

It’s so important to be environmentally conscious. You don’t have to be an environment nazi, but sometimes a rake in place of a leaf-blower makes a world of difference.

Today I purchased those reusable grocery bags at Safeway, which are made from recycled material. They are only $0.99 each, and you get $0.03 back per bag, every time you use them; AND, it keeps plastic bags away from landfills!
