Do some sit-ups
If you haven’t done them for a while, you’ll discover they’re pretty challenging. In the next 24 hours, test the strength in your abs by doing one or two sets of 8-15 sit-ups. Always consult a physician before starting any exercise routine.

I hate sit-ups even though they will make my core stronger. I will start with 10.
I did 2 sets of 12, but I’m so used to doing crunches that I don’t know if I even did them right! I know I’ll feel this later!
This should be a breeze since my Pilates class is tonight. Does that really count as a challenge or is that cheating?
O.k. i will try, hope this goes well….LOL
gosh, I hope this will be a good start to starting to lose my pregnancy waist…worth a shot and maybe I could start a routine :)
I will start with 20 and try to add 10 more each week. We can do this!!!
I haven’t done sit-ups in such a long time, but I did complete 2 sets of 10 each. Good luck to all of you doing this challenge….remember, you can do it!!!!!!
O.K. have to start somewhere right?
I hope this helps me get started losing those last 25 lbs
OK, I will start with 10!!
I am doing 10 sit ups to in addition to my pilates 100s
Hmm.. can I do them on the exercise ball?? does that count?
I use three different pieces of weight equipment for my core, they are like situps, but you can adjust the motion and the weight you use. I’ve challenged myself to increase each machine by 5 lbs.
Actually I’ve been doing sit-ups since the beginning of February. I’m trying to get myself into shape for the rigorous physical requirements at the Naval college I will be attending this fall.
I forgot to menntion, I’ve notice a big difference in my physical appearance and the strength of my body core. Do what you can but don’t over do it!
i did 2 sets of 10…keeping my fingers crossed that doing this regularly will help rid me of my baby belly!!
bought a exercise ball will start doing sit ups with this.
I’LL DO 20 SIT UPS TODAY A DAY AND TRY TO GET RID OF THIS BELLY FAT
Whew, sit ups are a bit harder than I remember. I just can’t seem to keep my feet in one place. Any suggestions?
I’m up for a couple sets. And I’m going to try very hard to keep good form. They’re so much harder to do when you do them the right way :-)
I did some yesterday.
Will aim to make it a daily habit. Good luck all
Today I begin this challenge with 25 sit-ups.
@krossoll: My couch is pretty low to the ground, so I wedge a thin pillow between the bottom of my couch and the floor. Then, I stick my toes in between. It works great for me!
Ok will start with 15 twice a day and keep it up for 1 week to see if there is a difference in the abs. Hopefully so because I am tired my poochy belly!!!!
I actually did mine two days ago, and will do more today. They are soo much more intense on the exercise ball.
Which translates to faster results.
been doing some modified crunch type sit-ups and did my gut ever hurt for a couple days, will continue to work at it though
@dcates: I talked to my trainer about how long it takes to see results. She told me that after 2 months, you will notice a change. After 3 months, other people will notice. I think that’s a good way to look at it because otherwise it’s easy to get discouraged. I’ve been doing sit-ups now for almost 2 months and the thing I’ve noticed most is that my stomach feels stronger. Since I haven’t lost any weight yet, I see a little change. I feel a lot better, though. I know that a few months from now (swimsuit season), I’ll look great.
Start with 10… pray I get to 5
Im gonna go for the two sets of 15..wish me luck!
I do them on the exercise ball and can get to 25…much easier this way!! good luck everyone!!
I used to do 150 sit-ups &/or cruches every night. Now that my backaches have started up again, it kills me to even do 30.
Hopefully I can convince my mom to get me an exercise ball so I don’t have to put so much pressure on my spine.
Yay!!! It feels good to something that is healthy!!! i will try to get an excercise ball myself. Good luck everyone!
ok ill try, got to rid myself of all this belly fat. i lost 40 lbs when pregnant with my cutie pie and then got on the depo shot and gained 60 lbs…..i so hope this will work….:| ive always been on the heavy side of life…ha!
I was doing 100 situps daily and not seeing any results (mainly because I was eating like a pig). LOL. Now that I’m dieting and losing weight, I will start doing situps again. Though it will probably take me a while to get back up to 100 a day.
I haven’t done a sit up since I had my baby. Whoa I am out of shape. I did only 8 and they were Tough.
I’ll do 2 sets of 11
I generally do 50 crunches every other night, i haven’t done sit ups in at least 2 years… i just did it now though… got to 30. Im pretty sure thats really bad considering i’m barely 20 and not very fit…
