Research suggests that people who watch TV during meals consume more calories than those who don't. Tonight at dinner, turn your TV off and make an effort to talk to your family. Or, simply savor your delicious meal by focusing on every bite.

When I eat, everything gets turned off. Like my nutritionist said, “Uninterrupted, mindful eating yields greater results…by slowing down your eating, taking smaller bites putting down your fork after each bite. In 20 minutes stop eating and give your brain a chance to receive the signal from your stomach telling you that you are full”. It works every time…no more overeating.

This is my biggest weakness. I love to munch while watching my shows. Well, tonight “Lost” will just have to wait until after dinner. Thank goodness for Tivo!

This will be my biggest challenge. I’m willing to make myself do this!
