Lift your mood with music
If you sit down and pay attention to how music makes you feel you realize how powerfully it can affect your emotions. And not just your emotions. According to some studies, music actually stimulates the brain’s pleasure centers. This stimulation has been linked to health benefits, including lower blood pressure, reduced pain, and improved sleep.
Today, take a little time to listen to music that makes you feel positive and happy. Enjoy the feeling knowing that you’re also doing something good for your health.
It never fails. If your mood is low add some great music to bring it up.
I literally cannot focus on my work if I don’t have music going. I am someone who feels moved my my own personal soundtrack. lol. So I immediately turn on pandora.com as soon as I get to work so I can keep going and keep energized without drinking gallons of coffee!
John McLaughlin is my favorite singer to listen to when I am feeling down.
Bipies24—Oh, I love McLaughlin. My favorite album is The Promise, and I adore the song “The Peacocks”. I can listen to it over and over.
I’m going to try listening to music at work. Things get crazy in my office and I think a little Duke Ellington will calm things down where it counts.
I love all kinds of music. Yes, I agree that music can set or break ones spirit. At night time when I am unwinding from my day, I’ll turn on my shaman cd and immediatly transformed into a meditated space. I fall asleep before the cd ends. While driving, cleaning house, gardening or what ever, music is on. Music soothes the savage beast!
