I have stuck with mysteries and sci/fan most of my life, but now I’m finding a lot of good general fiction. Right now I’m finishing Bloodroot by Amy Greene. I grew up in Appalachia, so I feel like I know some of the characters.

I was in a book club when twilight came out and it was not the type of book that I ever would have picked up and read, so when the others in the group were talking about it I was like, No way would I read that. However, I read it and fell in love with it, it is now one of my favorite books. The same thing happened with the Hunger Games books, I never would have chosen them, but now I love it. Try something new, you never know if you might like it and if you don’t at least you tried.

The change of reading fiction is still going on. I received the entire Twilight book saga (4 books) for my birthday 11/22! I have since read the 3rd book (awesome) and will begin the last book Thanksgiving night. Try something new!

I usually don’t read much fiction, but a week ago that changed. When I picked up “Twilight” I could not put it down. I finished the entire book within 24 hours. I have already finished the second book in the series, and am waiting for book 3 until after I see the movie of “Twilight” next week. WOW! What a change trying something new has done!
