Banish negative thoughts
We all have an inner critic that tells us when we’ve done something wrong and won’t let us forget it. What’s worse is sometimes it’s difficult to quiet that critic and get on with our day.
Today, use this simple technique for quieting your negative thoughts. Choose a poem or prayer from one of your favorite books and spend a little time memorizing it. The next time you hear your inner critic, banish the negativity by repeating your favorite poem instead.

I meant dreary winter, not window in the above post.
Do something creative! Paint your bedroom, a piece of old furniture. Even a jig saw puzzle will soothe your mind. One dreary window when life brought unhappiness, I took collected beads, a lot of broken necklaces from garage sales, a lot of beads bought with a gift certificate my sister sent at xmas, some fishing line and I made strand after strand of beads for my west windows. The sparkling colors bring the eyes joy. Note:all glass beads makes them too heavy, add plastic too.
a great stress reliever and negativaty buster is yoga[or don’t quite know how] just gently strech all your muscles and limbs all the while thinking of one of your favorite memories,[i like funny ones] and before ya know it funky feelings seem to melt away! is that a smile?... bask in it,you deserve it!
I am the ONLY me!
So, that means no one can be better at being me, than me! =)
Of all places, a new favorite quote came from the Disney movie “Princess Protection Program,” with the following dialog:
“She is trying to make a fool of you!” The princess’ response was, “She cannot make something of me that I am not.”
Love that!
positive positive positive…think positive peeps! then positive things will come….even just by thinking of this im feeling brighter…...take a deep breath and let everything bad go…youll feel the positiveness rush in=)
Sometimes when there are bad situations in life that you have no control over, it is hard to think positive. This is great advice to try to help those going through hard times. I am always a positive & happy person and I try to uplift others.
This is wonderful advice!
I have never been one to think negative but there is always people around you that do… and i try to remind them that if you think negative the positive will not show so think positive and life will carry you …...
This is really a challenge for me at this time in my life but I am trying really hard.
What a great idea. I am really trying to focus on being a more positive person, because I am by nature a negative person. I think this idea will really help me. My husband is a very positive person and looks for the good in everything. I want to change because I have seen my daughter taking on my negative attitude and I don’t like it. Thanks for the idea!!
I wasn’t always positive but after seeing that sometimes you just have to laugh at the bad and I began to be more positive about things, I noticed every aspect of my life became more positive!Whether it is Karma, Following the Golden Rule, or how ever you would like to put it we could all use more of those positive vibes!!
great site i invited my sister
this really helps to free your mind and just let all the negitivity go and allow yourself to be truley happy. Ive never felt better!!!
thanks
I like to remind myself of a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt: “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”. Positive thinking is so powerful, and it really helps to carry me through some of the roughest days.
Thank you so much for this site. I want to be healthy for myself and my family but have never really thought about being negative before. This is a great tip.
