Check your showerhead
Today, challenge yourself to test your showerhead and find out whether you could be saving some serious water by installing a low-flow model. Here’s how: • Put a bucket into your shower and fill it with 2.5 gallons of water. • Mark the water level. Then empty the bucket. • Put the bucket under your shower stream and turn it on full-blast. • Time the flow for one minute. • If the bucket fills past the 2.5 gallon mark, your showerhead is not low-flow.

I’m going to clean my showerhead right now. Thanks for the tips. :0)

I first wipe the shower head with white vinegar on a wash cloth. Then I look for calcium build up and poke it with a bobby pin or paper clip. Then I warm up some white vinegar in a bowl and soak the shower head in it for 2 minutes then turn on the shower to clean it and it runs perfect :) If it doesn’t, try it again; it works every time.

I just had to test my shower head and turns out that I do use a water saver shower head ! The way I just used the water from both , measuring the water and when I tested my shower head , in the washing machine since I used cold water to measure with and I save on my power bill by using only cold water for my washer.

Sorry, man! I tried this for awhile, but had to take the saver out – I’ll save in other ways. Takes too long to rinse shampoo and conditioner out of my hair. Also, I have FMS and need the hot flowing shower to ease overall body pain.
BTW – The Green Fairy got me when I took the saver out – I fell off the side of the tub and broke my ankle. So I guess you could say I paid it forward?

I used the water to water my garden vegies and flowers, all the trees in the yard as well. thanks for the idea Amiskimon about the hard water buildup I never thought about that.
