Buy a battery recharger

When you throw away any type of battery, its contents eventually end up in the soil, groundwater, or air. Since batteries contain toxic components, it’s a good idea to avoid filling landfills with them.

Today, plan on buying a battery recharger. In the long run, it’ll pay for itself because you won’t have to constantly buy new batteries. And it’s a good environment-friendly option.

I use my digital camera quite a bit and I was constantly going through batteries so this new charger will help A LOT!

I used a holiday Best Buy gift card and bought rechargeable battery packs for my X-box controllers. I didn’t realize how many standard batteries I had gone through!! This challenge was a great reminder for something I had been planning on doing for a while. yay!

A year ago, my college-age son gave me a battery charger & several re-chargable batteries…I have so many remote controls, etc, that he thought this would be perfect…and it has! I haven’t bought any standard batteries since that time.
