Give something away

In many countries around the world today, people are observing Boxing Day. Celebrated on the first weekday after Christmas (usually on the 26th), this holiday is traditionally reserved for handing out presents to people who have provided some type of service during the year or by simply giving something to someone less fortunate. Although Boxing Day isn’t celebrated in the U.S., it’s still a nice gesture.

Today, identify a gift you can give to someone in need and donate it. Food banks are a great place to start. Just because the holiday season is winding down doesn’t mean we can’t keep the spirit of giving alive.

My husband and I purged our already modest home of any extra “clutter” and donated it all to Goodwill for others to find and use.

I think it’s a wonderful idea and I wish more people thought like this and acted on it as well.

I am one who received nothing for the Christmas holiday. None of the Holidays. Nothing for my Birthday etd. But I am fortunate in Good Health. Having no job also this year I am thankful for my Good Health. So I keep trying to eat healthy foods whenever possible
