When we think of sweet treats, we often imagine decadent and sugary desserts. But there are lots of delicious options that are healthy for you too. Today, when you’re craving something sweet, challenge yourself to reach for a seasonal fall/winter fruit instead. This is not that easy but I feel so much better since we started. My kids LOVE fruit but also love sweets. They are learning that sweets are for “special” things and fruits can be just as sweet and tasty. We also love going to the farmer’s market and my son gets to pick out what he wants. That way we are getting the freshest possible and supporting local farmers.
