Eat a little, then wait

Did you know that it takes 20 minutes for your belly to tell your brain it’s full? That’s why it’s so important to pace yourself during meals, chew slowly, and savor every bite.

Today, challenge yourself to make your meals last 15-20 minutes long. Or at least wait that long before going back for seconds.

It is also a good idea not to eat in front of the TV as that causes you to eat faster and not pay attention to the flavor in your food.

My problem is eating at night right before bed. Have any tips?

ahollen1—To avoid eating before bed, I brush my teeth and floss my teeth right after dinner. It makes everything taste bad for a while. And since I can be pretty lazy, I don’t want to eat because that would mean brushing and flossing again.

yeah i tend to rush when i eat and then i over eat because i still fill hungry. then after the meal the over fullness hits me and i feel quite uncomortable. if i just slowed down, id enjoy my food more and leave the table feeling satisfied and not bloated.

I have learned that chewing about twenty five times before i take the next bite can be good for your digestive tract as well as help you eat slower.
