Eat a little, then wait
Did you know that it takes 20 minutes for your belly to tell your brain it’s full? That’s why it’s so important to pace yourself during meals, chew slowly, and savor every bite.
Today, challenge yourself to make your meals last 15-20 minutes long. Or at least wait that long before going back for seconds.

Arianna – I really like your idea. I usually wait until just before bed to brush, but I’ve never thought of doing it right after dinner so everything tastes bad. I usually work til pretty late at night, so maybe if I even bring mouthwash, that could probably help!
I have been working on my bored eating. Sometimes just talking yourself out of it works. Stop yourself from going to the pantry or fridge by asking yourself if you are truly hungry or are you bored. Works for me most of the time. Sometimes I just have to go clean something or find something else to concentrate on like reading a book.
I am a bored eater and sometimes I just cant avoid the cravings…any suggestions?
I have learned that chewing about twenty five times before i take the next bite can be good for your digestive tract as well as help you eat slower.
We just learned about this in health today :]
yeah i tend to rush when i eat and then i over eat because i still fill hungry. then after the meal the over fullness hits me and i feel quite uncomortable. if i just slowed down, id enjoy my food more and leave the table feeling satisfied and not bloated.
Hey thanx for the tip!
My problem is eating at night right before bed. Have any tips?
It is also a good idea not to eat in front of the TV as that causes you to eat faster and not pay attention to the flavor in your food.
