Join a hiking club
Ever wish you could get into the great outdoors more often, but you don’t have anyone to go with? Or maybe you’re bored by your usual hikes. There are lots of reasons that hiking clubs are a good idea. Meeting new people, seeing new places, having the opportunity to be regularly physically active….
Today, do some research to find a local hiking club. Then, make a plan to join-up. It’s another positive step toward living your best life.
Always consult a physician before starting any exercise routine.

Just completed a monster weekend – Hiked 3 peaks in 3 days!
2 more planned for the coming weekend, if the snow can hold off on the higher elevations until then.
Since moving to this small town in Oklahoma, there is no place to hike and there is no hiking group to join so I belong to a fitness center. I get on the treadmill, close my eyes and pretend that I am back at the Grand Canyon, where I use to live and work, hiking on my favorite trail.
I am in a hiking group from meetup.com in OC. I love it! But have developed such a fear of mountain lions from horror stories I’m afraid to hike alon enow…
I love hiking..I don’t have a club, but I go hiking with my hubby all of the time. (my username :))
My “hiking club” actually consists of my siblings :). They are much younger than I am, and it’s a great feeling to know that I am instilling them with healthy habits. I hike every day, and when winter hits, I can’t wait to crack out the snow shoes and/or cross country skis. Go Minnesota!
The only hiking club I could find in my area meets about an hour away, and only accepts new members at the beginning of each of their new year. That’s what I gathered from their website at least. Bummer.. if I could find anyone in my area willing to do it, I wouldn’t mind starting a small one of my own… I guess that’s a new goal for the next few months. Hopefully Winter doesn’t make it too hard to find willing participants.
It’s not exactly hiking, but I completed my first half marathon two weeks ago. I try to walk almost every day.
This is something I do now. My area offers many hiking opportunities. Hopefully, Winter holds off for a few more weeks so I can keep getting out there!
Walking or hiking it doesn’t matter as long as I get R done
