Go carbon neutral

We all need to take responsibility for solving the issue of global climate change. One way to do this is to reduce our total carbon emissions. That means doing things like turning off the lights when we leave a room, taking public transportation when possible, etc.

Taking this one step farther — for our remaining emissions — we can purchase “carbon offsets.” What are carbon offsets? Simply put, they are an emission reduction credit from an environmentally-friendly project (such as a wind farm) that results in less greenhouse gases. Essentially, you’re investing in renewable energy sources to offset your carbon footprint.

This weekend, spend some time investigating carbon offsets and learning how to go carbon neutral. Being part of the solution feels fantastic and eliminates guilt, too.

Another challenge done. I always turn the lights off and always take public transportation.
I also try to not use plastic bags. Anytime I can stick stuff in my tote, I do it, and I feel great about it.
