Forgive yourself

By Kashi Read more daily challenge and inner harmony
Challenge Yourself for: 24 Hours

Letting go of self-blame can be incredibly difficult. Today, identify one thing to forgive yourself for. Write it down, along with all the reasons why you believe it’s your fault…and the reasons it might not be. Then, make a commitment to forgive yourself.

You may have to work at forgiveness, because sometimes forgiveness is a daily challenge. But with practice it gets easier.

    I will forgive myself for taking the blame for incidents that are out of my control.

    I am forgiving myself for eating nonstop chocolate and king cake this month. Today is a new day, and with a little impetus from my ever shrinking jeans, I am going to start treating my body right again

    I set impossibly high goals and then am really hard on myself for falling short. I am going to try to forgive myself for falling short over the weekend and to continue this process, I am going to try to set more realistic goals.

    I am working on forgiving myself for being so hard on myself when I didn’t have to be. For making myself feel guilty about the way my body looks even though their isn’t anything to feel upset about. I am healthy!

    I am working on forgiving myself for something I probably shouldn’t be blaming myself for. I too am working on changing my attitude about things and being more positive as being negative doesn’t help.

    Even tho’ the snow is blowing and the weather is soooo cold, I proclaimed today to be a “positive” day for me, and not let the yucky weather bring me down! Instead I was able to stay inside, get house work, paperwork, and TWO aggressive cardio and strength training routines accomplished! YAY! ;)

    I have learned that choosing a positive attitude generates positive to be part of your everyday life. I start my day with this statement: “Today I am Thankful for…” then I think to myself, and speak it OUTLOUD.. it really does help to lift you up.. ;)

    Finish each day and be done with it.
    You have done what you could.
    Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in;
    forget them as soon as you can.
    Tomorrow is a new day;
    begin it well and serenely
    and with too high a spirit
    to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

    @thereseseibertThis sounds stupid, but I’m a 16 year old AP student who gets two hours of sleep a night, I’m allowed to be stupid. What’s GMO?

      GMO stands for Genetically Modified. For thorough information on them you should definitely check out Future of Food (free on hulu) and Food, Inc movies. It is where they take a natural food cell and use science to make it unnatural, such as adding pesticides to the cell so the crop grows resistant to pests. It’s all really disturbing. Watch the movies mentioned and it’ll change the way you look at food.

    I created a personal gratitude and goal list. It brings my life back into focus, true Christianity.
