Turn off the water when you brush

Today when you brush your teeth turn off the water after you wet your brush and leave it off until you rinse. Even small everyday gestures make a difference for the environment.

I didn’t realize that “everybody” didn’t do this.

This is something that I have done for years.
It would be great if everyone did also.

Another water saving opportunity is to shut the water while soaping up your hands :)

I have done this for so many years I can’t remember when I started. It just seems so wrong to me to waste water like that. When I see people at work brushing their teeth in the bathroom & letting an ocean come out of the facuet while they do so, I feel like reaching over & turning the water off for them while giving them a mini-lecture…but would that be crossing the line?? =P

I brush my teeth while I’m in the shower. I don’t even get it wet before I brush my teeth! (Less foamy slobber that way! LOL)

This can be fun for the whole family…especially if you get the kids to act as the “water police”.

Every day! A little to get things going and a little to rinse at the end. My entire family has done this since I was little.

I’ll start with this one first, I just spent 4 days on the road in Georgia, they are having a terrible draught. Georgia is aways on my mind!

Grew up with well water , only so much a day . If you did not conserve there would not be any for the rest of the day’s needs .

I have been doing this since I was 4. I saw it on Sesame Street. There was no water for the fish to live in when the little boy left on the faucet. I am glad to know that people have been conscious of this since 1989.
