Practice generosity
This week, make an effort to practice generosity without expecting anything in return. Give something away everyday. It could be as simple as a piece of fruit to a friend, $5 to a homeless person, money to a favorite cause…. The possibilities are endless. _(We’ve given you 7 days for this Challenge. When you log your progress, you only need to log as many – or as few – days as are applicable.)_

I donated a bag of canned goods to our local food pantry. Our family sometimes gets caught up in the thought that times are tough for us right now… We often forget that things could be worse.
I’m trying to teach my daughter that being kind is something we should do for everyone, even if we never meet those that we’ve helped.

A colleague of mine and I teach our students to crochet and knit. We then make premie blankets for our local Children’s Hospital. Currently we are making ornaments to sell and sponsor a child for Christmas with the profits. What a great feeling to turn a hobby into something nice for the community.

I paid for a stranger’s train ticket on Friday. He was already on the train and realized he didn’t have any money. The cost to me was only $9, but the reward was an incredible feeling of good will. He wanted my name so he could pay me back, but I told him I hadn’t done it with that expectation. I asked him instead to “pay it forward” some day.
