I’ve been a vegetarian for a year. I don’t drink milk either, but I do occasionally eat cheese or ice cream. I feel great every day. I spend three hours in the gym and follow it up with 3 1/2 miles of running outside or bicyling. I have maintained my high school weight of 115 through my first year of college, but I am much more toned than I was and am getting my 6 pack abs back. Being vegetarian has renewed my interest in cooking because I try so many new things. It’s really easy to be a vegetarian when you realize how much better it is for you, animals, and the world!
Plus, Silk Very Vanilla Soymilk compliments any Kashi cereal wonderfully!

Going vegetarian has really helped my arthritis improve. I also have a lot more energy and can think clearer.

I’m thinkin about becoming a pescetarian, that is eating only fish and shellfish, but i don’t know. Right now i do eat alot of fruits, and veggies, and soy products- we’ll see.

I recently began trying to eat vegetarian three days a week, then realized how easy it was and I wasn’t missing out on any non-vegetarian meals. Now I eat vegetarian everyday and only have white meat two or three meals a week. Its all about educating yourself!

I’ve been a vegetarian for a year and a half now and I can’t imagine going back. Veg for a day is no problem! Now I just have to work on becoming vegan. Milk and eggs find there way into so many vegetarian products.

I’ve been vegetarian for almost 10 years now. It just sort of happened because I really didn’t like to eat meat and then I realized I wasn’t eating any meat. I do eat eggs & milk products though. I love being meatless! I don’t know if I could go without the milk & eggs though

This suits me fine. I’m having meatless chilli for dinner anyway, and have only eaten fruit, yogurt and salad with nuts so far today. Not a biggie because we go meatless at least once a week anyway. Maybe I’ll try more then one day next week.

I’m returning to my roots (no pun intended) and find it’s easier than ever. I was concerned over converting my twins to a lacto-ovo-way of life, but creativity in the kitchen, having them assist in meal preparation, shopping, and searching for recipes…this turned into one fabulous group effort. (We’ve even gone back to composting our vegan scraps.)

I didn’t know there was a month to celebrate being a vegetarian. I have been a vegetarian for about 15 years. It has taken me about this long to learn how to eat a balanced diet and how to cook vegetarian. Within the last couple of years I have started becoming creative with tofu and other soy products. It is getting interesting.

I tell every one I meet on the street about organic food and natural product. Everyday I impact lots of people, some of them will do something about it and some others no; until they find the information from a good sources or they heir the same information again from someone they trust, or more people they don’t know. That’s when people make up their mind and say hey let me try this~! It takes time, people are so afraid of making changes, they think if they become vegetarian they will get sick, or their bodies are not going to work the same way… Their so much people in this world who are not inform the proper way.
I start on this life style, couple of years, And YES I struggle too, at the beginning ! Stop eating things that we like is hard; plus WE humans don’t like to make big changes our life, we don’t want to leave our comfort zone. But once you impact a person by talking to them about how great you feel, how healthy you are, about lasting more as a human, about not being sick… HEY PEOPLE WILL LEASTEND. People LEARN THINGS WHEN THERES A CAUSE AND EFFECTS ON THEIR ACCTIONS. You eat hormones, animals with illness, pesticide, you will get sick, your kids, your world… Do something, IT IS TIME TO WAKE UP. Take one step at a time, STARTING IT IS EASY, MANTAINING IT IS THE HARD PART AND COMMITMENT. You are what you eat! Be concern about it. -
Vegetarianism/Veganism is more mental than physical. If you cut out everything at once (either all meat or all meat and dairy/eggs), yes, you may feel pretty bad, but that’s your body going through detox. Once you get past the false idea that eating animals/animal products is required to be healthy, you’ll find that you both physically and mentally feel better than you ever imagined. There are so many veg products widely available now that there’s little excuse not to. Unfortunately it’s still a stigma to be veg and healthy in this country!

This was super easy. While I’m not a vegetarian. I often go days without consuming meat or meat products.

Tomorrow is another day! Let’s see how I do then:).

I’ve been a vegetarian (not vegan—yet) for 14 years. It’s not very hard if you love animals as much as I do. And then there’s chocolate…
-
This has been the easiest challenge. I try and eat healthy all the time.
