Jump rope for 10 minutes
Jumping rope is not just for schoolyards. It is a great way for people of all ages to burn extra calories, increase stamina, and improve coordination. Today, challenge yourself to find a jump rope and use it for 10 minutes.
Always consult a physician before starting any exercise routine.
ten minutes with some spacers on a tramp for minimum stress on legs was about all I could handle today.
I realized I’m not as coordinated with the jump rope as I was when I was 10 or 11. I will try again tomorrow, and keep a constant rhythm.
I have five children so I know we have several jump ropes. I did pick it up and made it to about three minutes and HAD to stop. I will keep trying. This could be a good thing for me. Thxs
mary, here is a tip that seems to work well for me…each time I jump rope, I try to increase it by 15 to 30 second intervals at a time and build up to the 10 minutes. I like to set small goals for myself that are attainable, instead of trying to push myself, knowing I ca’t do it, and i fail miserably. Hope this helps.
I am keeping up with staying fit. I jumped for 15 minutes today!
Jumping rope is great, but I have bad knees. I have lots of pains on the inside of my left knee. Help!
I am currently enrolled in a Stability Ball class at the college I attend. The class itself is awesome! We are constantly moving and having fun at the same time. The other day we did different stations, in which one of them was jumping rope. I jumped rope for probably about 10-12 minutes. I felt energized and tired at the same time. It was a great workout.
I know I’m not going to make the whole ten minutes in one shot… so if I do 2 minutes at a time, spaced 5 times through the day, I’ll be happy!
I did it! I did one or two minutes at a time, through the day, and got in 10 minutes. It was tough, but I’m glad I took the challenge!
