Start a morning workout routine
Sometimes it’s nearly impossible to get motivated to exercise after a long day of work. That’s why exercising in the morning is such a good idea. When you get moving early, you set the pace for the rest of your day. This month, challenge yourself to workout in the morning at least a few times a week. _Always consult a physician before starting any exercise routine._ _(We've given you 30 days for this Challenge to get into a regular routine. When you log your progress, you only need to log as many - or as few - days as are applicable.)_

I’ve been feeling guilty these last few days because I’m in a funk and haven’t been getting out in the morning to exercise, so I’m glad I found this challenge. I still enjoy getting out at lunch for a bike ride, or yoga in the evenings, but I feel my best after a good run or strength training in the morning.

I always work-out after work. I just don’t have time in the morning. I really enjoy working out in the evening because that’s when my gym classes are scheduled.

I started recording a pilates show on Veria and have been doing it 3-4 times a week in the mornings. It takes about 40 minutes after skipping commercials and feels great. I don’t have to really get motivated to go run or anything, I start by just laying on the floor in my pjs, can’t go wrong! Paired with lunch-time walking and after-work jogging, I feel like myself again!

I hate getting up early in the morning! I got a gym membership at a gyn a mile away from my house and with my insurance I get $20.00 off every month I go 12 times. I wont go in the evenings because I take my dogs for a walk in the evening and I don’t want them to sit in their kennels all day and all night. So I really have to push myself to get up with a little help from my husband!!

Lissy, Keep up the good work, I unfortunately know how you feel, My wife and I were expecting a baby, and of course I ate all the junk food and take out that came with it, but She developed preeclampsia five months into her pregnancy, and we lost our baby girl, Of course it took it’s toll on both of us, and I ballooned up to 272 pounds. Finally my wife said “That’s it” ! Yes I feel bad and yes I almost lost my life, but we’re still here, and I want to live. That was last August, as of now I’m at 237, and we just purchased a treadmill for Christmas, so I say, Yes life throws you some bad deals, but life is to long, Live it happy,

In 2004, I found myself at my highest weight..264. I was miserable. My health was bad, and to add to my low self-esteem, my marraige seemed to fail as well. In September of that same year, my brother was diagnosed at 34 with diabetes. I vowed to change. I started eating right, and slowly added exercise. In a two year period, I lost over 100 pounds. I’ve gained 40 back because of the holidays and changes in my life. I need to get some motivation! I am starting Monday, January 7th, as the day I take my life back! :) My goal is to get back into the 14 pair of size 10 jeans that are in my closet, instead of wearing the 16’s I am in now! Please Please help me keep motivated! Thank you all!

I excercise everyday. I mainly swim one mile in an indoor pool. To offset the routine I walk 4-5.5 miles in 50 min. to 1 hr. 15 min. I bike on a nature course (weather permitting), and do about 45 min of weight excercies every other day.

I ‘usually’ have a bit of a morning routine, but the past few weeks I’ve been in a real slump, I’ll sit down ready to do some sit-ups, and end up just playing with my toes for half an hour! USUALLY I like to do a few sets of sit-ups and push-ups, a couple sets of something with dunbells, then a good 30 min to an hour of yoga after a hot shower. Today I only managed one short set each of sit-ups & push-ups… let’s see how I go!
