Workout with an everyday activity

You don’t have to go to a gym to get your heart rate up. Many everyday activities help you accomplish this goal — and they don’t cost a thing. Today, make the effort to do something that gets your heart rate up for 15-30 minutes. Here are some ideas to get you started: 1) mow the lawn, 2) weed the garden, 3) vacuum, 4) scrub the tub/floors/sinks, 5) play tag with your kids, 6) dance, 7) walk your dog…. If you think of more activities, share them with everyone here.

Always consult a physician before starting any exercise routine.

I did go to the gym today. A 650 calorie workout on the cross trainer, bike, threadmill and rowing machine definitely got my heart rate up. I managed 140 for most of the workout and 165 when running on the threadmill.

I’m trying to get back to exercising and atleast walking on the treadmill about 1/2 an hr. to start and hopefully work my way up. I’m alone and don’t get out much and it’s hard to motivarte myself so I look forward to helpful encouragement from anyone who’s willing to help me out here.

Hi All….I’m new to the list. I’m trying to up improve my physical fitness and I want to lose weight of course. I love Kashi’s products and have found they assist me in obtaining my goals. I feel good when I eat them and look forward to talking to others who feel the same way.

Today I vaccuumed the house, dusted the furniture, washed and put away everyones laundry and organized a couple rooms. Kept me busy and active, as well as made the environment of my house cleaner.

Hi all,
I’m new to this list too, and today I had an hour long ballroom dancing private lesson. What an amazing form of exercise, and one that I love doing grin

I’m working on walking at least 30 minutes a day. I want to add in some toning exercises a few times a week as well.
