Have fun with fennel
Fennel is one of nature’s miracles—flavorful, fragrant, hearty, and delightfully pungent. With a taste reminiscent of licorice and a firm, resilient texture, this greenish-white bulb enhances fish, roast chicken, salads, baked potato casseroles, pork, green beans, and many other dishes. Fennel is at its best from mid-fall to mid-spring. When you shop, look for bulbs with no soft or discolored spots. Today, challenge yourself to plan a meal that includes fennel. It will stay fresh in the fridge for three to five days.

I have always loved this fennel/(annise is what my parents called it). We have always eaten it raw, dipped in olive oil and vinegar. Even my kids like it.
I love fennel Tea :D
