Make a holiday de-stress pledge

Challenge Yourself for: 24 Hours

Holidays can be stressful for a lot of reasons (family dynamics, financial pressures, lack of time, break–ups or grief in the face of public cheer). But recognizing seasonal stress triggers can help mitigate them. One way to help cope is to formally acknowledge the stress that holidays can bring. This year, challenge yourself to manage holiday stress better by writing down your commitment to stressing less. Promise yourself to get the exercise you need, lay out a budget to prevent overspending, communicate effectively with family members, say “no” to commitments that put you over your time budget—and put it all in writing.

Personally I have seasonal triggers, grief has taken my holidays in the past. I understand more now, and can plan better.

I plan to be stress free this year. I’m taking it slow, eating better and surrounding myself with positive people.
