Pairing Cheese with TLC Party Crackers
Gina Freize, president and cheese expert from Venissimo Cheese Shop in San Diego, California, recommends the following cheese pairings to complement Kashi’s tasty entertainer-style crackers.
Stoneground 7 Grain
Stoneground 7 Grain Crackers should be served with any Gouda cheese with a buttery or butterscotch undertone, since the sweetness of the cheese complements the heartiness of the grains. We particularly like Amsterdam Reserve, a one-year aged Gouda from Holland.
Mediterranean Bruschetta
Mediterranean Bruschetta Crackers go best with aged sheep-milk cheese would be great because the natural oils in the cheese enhance the tomato and basil flavors in the cracker. Pecorino Lucano, an herbaceous pecorino from Italy is a great example.
Roasted Garlic & Thyme
Any sharp cheddar will work with Roasted Garlic & Thyme Crackers; the garlic needs a powerful counterpart to create the perfect pairing. Try Cougar Gold, a super tangy cheddar from Washington State University that really enhances the garlic and herb seasonings.
