Smart, easy and workable!
i need to eat more not less, any ideas on that?
since i try to bring my lunch from home to work everyday, i usually don’t use a dinner plate. i do try to have more fruit and veggies available than carbs. right now, i am on a very restricted diet because of some medical testing i have to get done next week, so “balanced eating” is being put on hold.
my intention is that on tuesdays and thursdays i will have a large salad for lunch, monday/wednesday/friday have soup and small sandwich. i know that if i can get this to be second nature, i will be eating balanced meals.
i also intend on following the “gi diet” by rick gallop.
I have been doing portion control and it has been working. I am eating less and have lost 24 pounds in the last 6 months.
where’s the fruit??
Fruit is also very important too!
I went out and bought smaller plates. It works so well. Now, the regular size plates seem HUGE! I’ve also started dividing up my food and eating every few hours rather than everything all at one meal.
This is one recommended way for diabetics to control their carb consumption at mealtime. I use it whenever I can—it works.
This is really good advice. Very do-able for dinner time.
Great video and example. That will help me with portion control.
I agree with the comment of buying smaller plates. I eat with my eyes and when I see a full plate, even if it’s smaller, I feel like I ate enough when I clean my plate.
Portion control has helped me = 15 pound weight loss in 3 months!
