I had forgotten about adding fiber to yogurt! I keep a jar of nuts, cranberries and raisins on my kitchen counter and add that to hot cereal and now will also add it to my yogurt.

I eat yogurt every morning. I love eating it with different toppings everyday. I add ground Flax Seed, dried fruits, like plums/prunes, blueberries, or cranberries. Then there will be times I use fresh fruits, like strawberries, banana, cantaloupe, and watermelon. It makes it more enjoyable to have it a different way, that way I don’t get bored with it.
I buy my flax seeds at the local health food store. You can buy it whole or grounded, I perfer the already grounde, since it makes it easier to use especially in recipes.

I am wondering if anyone in the community has had to overcome sugar addiction? This is my goal by becoming a member of the Kashi website. I want to not only learn to eat healthy and naturaly but I want it to be my lifestyle and then to teach my family and others. Does anyone have any good tips to start the journey of getting rid of sugar and processed foods?

I love just eating flavored shreaded wheat dry as a snack.
Gives a whole new meaning to fiber.

Blueberries, raspberries, and lowfat granolas with added fruits are great toppings for yogurt in the morning.. and even a late afternoon snack.

I have always carried a Kashit trail mix bar with me. As a student in classes all day,it’s tempting and very fattening to reach for a typical muffin. Also, the trail mix cereal is a great travel snack. I’m still blown away at the size of the walnuts, cranberries, and the freshness.

i also take flaxseed oil capsules usually 2 x a day- that may help some of you too. I have digestive problems as well, so that – along with a healthy diet- works for me.
